Phramo’or
Legends speak of an unusual traveler that haunts the dunes of the planet, appearing every now and then in the most unexpected places. Rumors have spread across the four nations about the one who is always on the run, who never sits still and, as folk would say it, never sleeps. No one knows who he is and many doubt he even exists, but there are those who claim to have met him once. No one has ever met him twice as he is very hard to find and, since he’s always on the run, the changes of bumping into him are slim at best. Chances of surviving the encounter are even smaller.
Those who have survived said he calls himself Phramo’or and, while he looks like a Ke’pikar, he can survive anywhere on the planet, even at the bottom of the poisoned ocean if he wanted to. Legend says he’s one of the descendents of the Ke’pikar ancestors, who would not know farming or caring for each other, would not live in houses or caves, but simply toughen up to survive out there, in any environment, day and night. Every would-be adventurer who has ever met him and lived to tell the tale, has been seen wearing lavish clothes and spending large amounts of money in the cities afterwards. As they say it, should you meet Phramo’or and get to talk with him, he’ll buy every item you have on you at the estimated price. He’ll give you even more on it if he likes you a little.
Of course, all of these are just rumors…
Shakay Supremacy
Holding the least territory on the planet and being hunted down and killed, the Shakay gathered their life was heading towards extinction in a rapid pace. Leaving their homes and hiding in their new-found cave, they began living like animals, running whenever something approached and feeding of the few plants that survived their poisoned soil. Very few Shakay ever reach adulthood, and even fewer can be called elderly, since once their body gives up and starts faulting, they would either be caught, either fall victim to the poisonous environment they live in.
However, a few decades ago, they noticed their cave has openings on both sides, making their new home the only passage through the high-mountains. Therefore, using precious stones found within the cave they were able to buy tools and training from the other side, as well as hire guards to keep their home safe. Inside the cave, they are not only prosperous, they are thriving. And since each side is desperate for the other side’s resources, they hold the key to the new flourishing economy on the entire planet.
The Xiffens
Living in the most controversial zone on the planet, the Xiffens are known to be the most long lived and powerful humanoids on Blue Stone. Their Oasis is their sanctuary and their curse. Growing dependent of the fumes within, they cannot leave the place, but in there they are so connected with the environment that they are almost gods. Their identification stone is plucked from the muddy waters, very smoothly shaped, and their mediation mark is engraved on it by one of the priestesses that has lived long enough and is so in tune with the place she can make rocks melt. Only them can provide such a stone in the muddy oasis.
Xiffen Priestess
The Oasis found at the opposite pole of the poisoned ocean has given birth to a new environment where wounds heal much faster and the inhabitants live in communion with the nature. The fumes floating around are providing a powerful narcotic effect that affects everything, not just humanoid beings, but plants as well. Whoever lives there is addicted to the air there so he cannot leave, but he will never want for anything. There is no hunger, no thirst, no desire of any kind. Hence, the need for garment is becoming less and less important. People living there are called the Xiffens and they wear very simple thin clothing which, being made by plants grown there, it’s almost alive and it’s more of a symbiotic relationship between the wearer and the clothes than anything else.
The Ke’pikar
Holding the vastest territory on the planet, the Ke’pikar are filled with pride and self-confidence. Their contact with the other races is pretty large since they are the only one who actually produce food. Because everyone comes asking them for food or water, they consider themselves the “feeders” of the planet. That term is not completely wrong, since their land is the only land fertile enough to sustain agriculture and food that is not poisonous. Their economic power has made them arrogant and they often take life for granted, taking advantage of others and even being dishonest among themselves. Their interest about the other races is very limited, and therefore so is their knowledge. Many of the things they know are myths and legends, making up stories about things they hear from travelers.
The Shakay
The Shakay are the most scarred people of the Blue Stone planet. Leaving in the paradise of a beautiful oceanic environment, their life was composed of joy and richness until the day the meteor hit the planet, transforming their ocean into a nucleus of poison and swarm of dangerous, infected creatures. In the past hundreds of years, the Shakay have been driven out of their homes, killed and hunted and took refuge into a large cave, holding very little territory and living in constant fear of being ransacked by creatures or their Raushu neighbors. Since the ocean poisoning, the Raushu have been trying to exterminate them and take hold of the entire territory on their side of the mountains. Hope has risen when the Shakay realized that their cave has openings on both sides of the uncrossable mountains.
Raushu Warrior
The Raushu warriors are the most feared creatures on the planet. While the massive monsters from the poisoned ocean pose a great threat in numbers, they are rarely thought of as cruel and most of the times the terrible earthquakes that precede their marches allow most of the inhabitants to move away. The Raushu warriors though are considered both cruel and dangerous, especially because they do not announce their coming. Many of their murders take place without anyone expecting and no one ever can actually know for sure who was the killer, although it’s common knowledge that their acrobatic abilities and life of terror and overextended training gives them all the qualities they need to be invisible.
Contrary to this reputation, The Raushu are actually known for being iron miners, and only a select few ever get the honor of becoming warriors. Selected as children for their uncanny abilities, they lead a life of training in facilities only they know of. Becoming one of them takes enormous amount of dedication and self-discipline.
Ke’pikar Elder
The Ke’pikar are the best workers on the planet. Their vast land allows them to exploit the entire soil with any agriculture potential of the planet. While mostly peaceful, they have been known to hold grudges and even have small skirmishes amongst each other, especially for land or belongings. Since the planet is mostly barren and resources are scarce, their country is viewed as Heaven for all the other races, ans is often visited with not only noble purposes in mind. A military guard had to set in each of their cities. By far, they have the strongest established economy and system on Blue Stone.
Poisoned Coast
The Blue Stone planet was a planet not dissimilar to Earth, pretty round in shape and with an flourishing ecosystem, but not a dominant species. Ages ago a meteor hit the planet at what was to become one of the planet’s poles, nearly crushing it in half. The crater in which it collapsed was one of the greatest seas on the planet, hosting many large creatures of various kinds.
Once the meteor hit, the stress was so great on the planet that it nearly cracked in half. Luckily the metals within were very malleable and provided a chained reaction that reshaped the entire surface and created a huge line of mountains around the Ecuador that rose so high they completely cut access between the two sides of the planet. The sea in which the meteor fell was to become the planet’s only ocean, were all the water from that side of the planet and even a substantial quantity from the other side poured in over the years, forming one gigantic ocean of poisoned water.
The Raushu
The Raushu are the most violent nation of the entire Blue Stone planet. Their desire for survival is almost defined by their desire to conquest. Since their land was poisoned centuries ago they only see their survival being fulfilled by continuously trying to acquire new territories at any cost. Even though their land is currently large enough to hold 10 times the population and they already have major problems holding off the savage creatures in many areas in their own country.
